Checking the oil
Sorry if this is a daft question but is there any way of checking if a garage has actually done an oil change on a 2016 Disco 4. I pick mine up Friday and have been reading up on the car. It seems the level is checked electronically by the car and I don't have a dipstick. Id normally pull it out and see the condition of the oil. Thanks in advance. Some mistakes are to good to only make once.

Unfortunately there's easy physical check you can do. LR in their wisdom decided you don't need it anymore (as did other manufacturers)
Have a look on the forum using the "search" function, I think there might be some who retro fitted a dip stick. In any case there has been much written on the subject. yµ (idµ - eAµ) ψ=mψ

i think you will find with diesels even after only a mile or 2 the oil will look black and dirty your just going to have to trust them or take it somewhere you do trust and pay to have it done again
