On the positive side it looks like it’s just the plastic bits that are mangled, not the silver & metal bits. Thumbs Up

It does look that way….we’ll find out when they try and bolt the new plastic bits on to the silver and metal bits Laughing
Whenever that may be…..parts are about as readily available as new cars apparently

Just a little update, a month into ownership.
I have covered 760 miles, and averaged a frankly staggering 78.2mpg. Most of the miles (530) have been short journeys, and been on electric only, which is the reason I bought the car in the first place.
For something with 400-odd bhp, with performance figures to match (it really is quick).......

One month in and we are at 867miles. Can't fault the car and the air suspension transforms the ride, although by default it is set to comfort. EV range is impressive and between 50 and 60miles. It’s not one of those figures that is reliant on 25 degrees, and a tailwind.

So far it’s had 409kw of electric (with current remaining range of 36 = 903miles) . So average is circa 2.2miles / kW although the car is noting 2.4mile / kW average. (Defender P400e is a little lower at around 1.7miles a kW).

Electric cost. Difficult because of the contribution of our PVs. Where possible we try and charge during the day. But 261kW have been at a night rate = £53.25

Very little use of the engine but when it’s called upon its impressive. Out of the 867miles so far, 832miles has been purely on EV with no contribution from the ICE.

Apart from the boot size (for my dogs) the car is really impressive, and I have no regrets.

P400XS 110 arrives in July. Censored

So I too have gone to an X5 45e after 17 years of disco 3/4 and RRS ownership, apart from my D3 I didn’t really have any problems tha5 couldn’t be expected on cars their age. I had BMs beforehand and it’s like going home and way more sprightly than the RRS.

Personally, I don’t like the way LR are going, the D5 I have always hated the look of and they really are escalating prices horrendously. The new RR and RRS has been ruined again round the back end. I was really getting to like the new Defender, however the prices are crazy The Phev versions also have such a useless range, I’m only 12 miles from work and would struggle, however the BM is over 40 on a freezing day so does me great for commuting.

Haven’t gone totally though, my 1994 300tdi defender is still here, gets regularly abused and gives me great times and normally just keeps on going

Perhaps I should jump in currently have a Cuppa Ateca as lifestyle choice kept D4 for now but what difference in the two cars. Wife still prefers disco but boy this Cupra ticks so many boxes and the cheapness in servicing and insurance .still part of VWG group..

I need a sub/sub group! My son bought a Yeti yesterday. What a great little car! I’m very impressed. If I wanted a cheap no fuss yet practical car, Yeti fits the bill. I found out they have quite a cult following, they even wave at each other 👋

While football is undoubtedly exciting, it's also refreshing to explore other competitive gaming avenues. The Call of Duty League https://www.vpesports.com/start-call-of-du...d-schedule promising, offering a new level of intensity and competition. It's fascinating to see how esports continue to evolve and garner significant attention on a global scale. For those who appreciate the thrill of intense gameplay and strategic teamwork, this could be a captivating alternative or addition to traditional sports viewing. I'll definitely be checking out the schedule to catch some of the action!
