Is my 4x4 working correctly?

I had to go on very muddy and wet field today, so engaged low range +put TR into grass/snow/gravel. Any idea why my both diffs did not lock?

Rear one won’t lock unless you have an e-diff, which was an option box ticked by very, very few.

ISTR low box and rock crawl combo will lock up the centre diff when stationary, but that is a very distant memory. Thumbs Up

It involves crawling around under the car looking for a servo thingie but that’s also a vague and distant memory. Thumbs Up

There was a Terrain Response "cheat" sheet posted some time back which outlined what the 4 terrain options did:

According to that if Low Range selected then diff's are locked

I think you will find if you engage both then drive and get the rear axle to start slipping it will lock bur not when its stationary why don't you give it a try pretty sure it does not lock up until it detects slip Thumbs Up
