Britannia, but when I’ve needed them, they have been local agents. Always been quick, and seemed decent.
I’ve only needed them twice. Once for a knackered alternator, and once for a blowout on the motorway. The knackered alternator was about 250 miles from home, so they recovered my truck back home to my local garage

im with the AA, £11 a month i think and it will get me home from anywhere in the country and get my car to any garage i want. never really had a problem with them except they went through a phase where they will always send a van first to assess the car and not listen to you when you say " just send a recovery truck as unless you carry spare wheel bearings for a 300tdi defender in your patrols this isnt getting fixed at the side of the road"
Had alot of problems with RAC over the years, 1 time they left me in the side of the M25 with a blown engine for over 5 hours one night before even answering their phone ( tried every single RAC breakdown number and apparently i was next in the que for over an hour) Highways man let me use there car for 30 minutes to warm up and charge my phone while still waiting for them to answer. Another time they tried charging me £1000 to recover my trailer home when i crashed in Scotland because they didnt have the right recovery truck to carry the land rover and tow the trailer so they sent me 2 truck and then argued we should pay for the second one .Discovery 3 - Black SE with HSE upgrade

When i have had RAC fleet breakdown, the wait is always hours rather than minutes and they always send third party recovery if vehicle requires recovery.
I cannot recall seeing a RAC liveried recovery truck whereas the AA are always seen around.
Now with AA.
