I think front/rear a/c set up holds 50 percent more gas than front only set up.

Got mine done for £45 last week at a local tyre fitting place (they had a special on FB).... apparently it only had 5 grams in it when it should have had 500
That might explain why it hadn't been getting very cold I want to see the sweets before I get into your windowless van... I'm not stupid!

If it "needs" gas, the leak needs investigated and repaired first.

Did they pressure test it or just vac test it?
Proper pressure testing to check for leaks with OFN would take more than 35 minutes unless it's a big leak.

Mate of mine's family runs a bus and coach business. Cost me very little for him to do it properly and it has never been so cold in the 7 years I've owned the car
Had a couple of vehicles checked/refilled by him and the service is excellent.Discovery 4 HSE - Aintree Green

I may be going mad, but you still only have one Aircon system with one condenser etc.....this is the case whether you have front or front and rear Aircon.
It's all loaded in the engine, so double is wrong, as Seddie said, enter the your details in the website and or call them?
The ones with front air con need something like 500 grams the ones with rear need 850 ish or something like that so not double but enough to cost moreRange Rover Westminster 4.4 TDV8 what a car
Discovery 3 HSE 2006 gone but never forgotten

I know fella thats why I said hope it just needs gas as it hasn't been done for 4 years and may just need topping up but knowing my luck it could well be a leak or something a lot more expensive The happiest of people don't necessarily have the best of everything;

Pressure test to find leak.
Most likely condenser or with rear a/c the rear pipes are a well known weak spot.
Luckily Pete it hasn't got it as its an early HSE (No phone either )The happiest of people don't necessarily have the best of everything;
