Imminent timing belt change - oil pump question |
|
Hi All,
MY07 2.7 TDV6
Mine goes in next week for a timing belt and I'm half expecting the oil pump to be the weaker type. The belts have been changed by Ripon LR before I owned it but I can't see any evidence of an oil pump on the service receipts, so presumably it's not been done.
If it turns out that it has been done, there's no need to replace the existing stronger type with a new stronger type is there?
Presumably once it's been done then it's all good and the car can find many other ways to drain all your surplus cash...?
cheers

Yes if it has the new style Oil pump then no need to change it, but if not stress that you want a new style one fitted.
