One on 12v
One on mass/-
One on pin 2 FBH

Usb to laptop
And proper software on your laptop wil give you diagnostic and a few tools, to reset, prime the pump, etc.

Can not see the details enough on your picture to determine the proper cable colour for pin 2.

BUT if the FBH works when it is cold outside (6 deg celcius), stay away with this... no need then, also no worries then..
 Best regards
Harold

It (=FBH) ONLY works beneath 6 degrees celcius..

And when your engine is running (normally)

Is there an easy way to increase the temperature that the Webasto works? lets say, from 6 degC to 10 degC? Not sure if my works anyway but I am just curious to know.

No... and why should you? There is absolutely no reason for it as auxiliary heater, what it is... IMHO

In a different mode than an auxiliary heater it starts up to 15 degC.
And, in extremis, with a proper firmware modification - which is not an "easy way" like you've asked - it can be made to start whenever you want.

I am just curious on the matter Question , but on a second thought, as Alex mentioned above, some people might want to have the interior warm when it is 15 dC. Confused And did not want the hassle of installing any extra kit. Therefore a simpler config would do the job . Wink

Yeah, but only if the coolant temp is less then (approx) 76 deg celcius.. and limited in operating time then..

The temp function on the FBH for auxillary heating is overruled or ruled out by the LR software on the CAN-bus.

since the Webasto Standard software is altered, changing other caracteristiscs like a different temp sensor with higher temp for auxillary heating (tempsensor which itself is a simple earth switch on/off) will not work... on these LR’s

For interior warming you always need an extra kit, as it is only a auxillary heater...
It is NOT a parking heater..... you can make it one though, but need an extra kit.

Manual is in my gallery:

Once you have a working fbh there are loads of different kits out there to start it without the engine running.

Remote, send txt, timer.

This has to be the cheapest and easiest

I don’t find I need the fans running inside.
As long as the coolant has been preheated you obviously get warm air straight away

My apologies everyone, It was not my intention to fueled that discussion.

I already searched the forum and other places for those things. I do not need that parking-heater and I understand that FBH is an auxiliary heater PRIMARILY (which sometimes is used as parking heater, even by OEM webasto and D3 with timers and others switches) Wink .

My reasoning was purely technical and exploratory.

For example, if one knows the exact temperature sensor type, model and location;
one could replace it with the correct resistance (assuming it is a PT100 or similar) not grounding it directly (because this would trigger a sensor fault) but using the correct resistance to give 5dC outside temperature triggering the webasto to pump up to the coolant temperature up to 70 dC, which will give a nice warmth interior heating.

Someone did this as a test :

Unplug sensor behind bumper.(or use freezer spray or resistor) Start engine.
Fbh should start up
