Engine oil
I'm I right in thinking 5w30 C1 grade engine oil. For 2012 sdv6 with DPF. And does it have to be castrol, just struggling to find it locally.

Short answer..No, it does not have to be Castrol.
You have the correct grade, and brand is personal choice. Some people stick to the larger companies, others are happy to use the lesser known.
Personally, I change oil and filter at 6-8K miles, and use the lesser brands.

Westway Oils for me too.
Been using them for my trucks for years, excellent products and prices.
If they only have 1 ltr advertised, just ask and they'll supply in any quantity you want.

If you aren't a brand snob, check out Smith and Allan Momentum 5w30 C1 that meets Ford WSS-M2C934-B and Jaguar Land Rover ST JLR.03.5005.
I haven't used this personally as I have a large stock of other brands (Castrol and Shell) at the moment. However, I use all of their other fluids on my RRS in the diffs, transfer box, power steering and active anti roll bar system.
I've also used their engine oils in all other vehicles I've owned for long periods of time without a problem.Kev

I use Mann oil filters. They make the genuine Land Rover ones also.
