Wheel spacers i seem to remember that they put more strain on wheel bearings leading to premature failure I am sure that someone with greater knowledge will be able to confirm or say not true but rather give you heads up
Does look good then I am biased as similar to mine
Cheers buddy, I have seen one post about this but I decided i would try my luck and see how I get on.

So here we have it! Almost finished (well i say that for now, we all know you are never finished )
Rock ans tree sliders fitted, Goodyear Duratrac's in 255/55/19 fitted to the standard wheels, 30mm spacers fitted and a good coating of plastidip on the wheels. I used the glossifier to do a gloss finish and add a couple of additional coats for protection but in hindsight I think they looked better in the satin finish before the glossifier went on.
I also painted the badges black and add a black LR badge to the front.
I am absolutely over the moon now. I cant wait to get out on a few lanes once we can all get back out.

Thanks for the extra pics. I was wondering what you meant with the door latches, but now I understand! How have you hinged it? Sorry to pester, I have a couple of ideas, but no point reinventing the wheel!
I love the look of the car BTW. Mines the silver D3 and I'm hoping to get a similar look, but I'll be keeping the black trim. I am planning on painting my wheels satin black. I have the paint ready, but wondered what the finish was like with plasticoat.Discovery 4 GS 2009 Auto Stornoway Grey

Not pestering at all , we are all here to share ideas and get inspiration hope it helps, just shout if you want any more pics or dimensions for anything
I'm super please with the plastadip so far, just think i would have prefered the satin over gloss now its on, worst case i can peal it off and change it. I will be keen to see how it holds out when using off road and regular cleaning. At least iI now know i like the black and i can always do a proper paint job if i want.
Cheers, I do like the silver and black combo I'm super pleased with how it's looking now, I just need to get rid of the "sports" exhaust now and back to standard.
To think this is what is looked like before lock down

Hi Dan,
You're going to regret this....
Please could I get dimension and as many close up pics of the the fixing brackets, hinges etc please? I think I've got a really good idea on the locks but I'll wait till I know it works.
I'm trying to scavenge, repurchase as much as possible, so any suggestions there would be appreciated. Frustratingly I had a load of perfarated steel from an old telephone rack, but after keeping g it in case for 3 years I binned it!!!
Once again thanks for the inspiration!Discovery 4 GS 2009 Auto Stornoway Grey
