Coolant level warning
I'm getting the coolant level warning message on the dash, but header tank is full. I can't see any floats or level sensors on th etank, but have read that it should be changed. Mine is the V8 D3, are they the same as the V6 dieselones

Rimmer Bros do a replacement sensor so bought one and got round to fitting it the other day, but still showing low coolant (have checked the level). The old sensor did look like the end had been 'damaged' so I'm surprised the new one has not fixed the problem. Anything else I can check?

The problem is the float, which is part of the bottle

Those who do not want to change the tank-tank install an additional strong magnet on the tank. A strong magnet holds the float. The coolant level sensor can be disabled.

Regud, can you expand on that one please? I swapped my tank over last year (I think but may be a tad longer) and the float has failed again already.
I wil replace it with a genuine tank this time as the pattern part clearly isn't any good to only last a short time, unless I was just (usually am ) unlucky.
I'd like to disable it for now as it bugs me with the warning a triangle popping up constantly.
Thanks
Jim

Замените танк, я сам себе также сделал. У нас это стоит очень дёшево. Установку сильного магнита не делал. Блокировать датчик сложно, надо снимать танк он внизу стоит.
