Actually I'd heard of a friend who advertised his car on FB and got rid of it very quickly. Thanks for the tip.

Unfortunately my plan is on hold for a short while as I need to replace the inlet manifolds on mine now. I wouldn’t feel right selling it with a fault so am getting it fixed. In respect to values WBAC give a good estimate of the top end you could get from a trade in but that’s a good couple of grand below what you could probably get private.
When the time comes I will sell mine private and start on here as it is a great example.

Oh no! Hope it's not too pricey. Yeah you have to get that done before selling it but at least it will be a good selling point after that's done.

WBAC's initial online estimate for my car was £600 more than i was offered in P/X....but i am in absolutely no doubt, if i had taken it to them to 'have a look at' they would have started chipping away at that immediately, using every reason in creation to get it as cheap as possible.Discovery 4 HSE SDV6

Yep - that's what WBAC do. I took an immaculate Passat there once and even though he found nothing wrong with it, he still took some money off.
