Having a joke with you mate, not at you. It took me an hour to come with that line. (Beside I have 3 Billy lids myself)
and how did you know I buy my own lettuces?

I view this forum as a place to learn, laugh, problem solve and challenge peoples opinion.

I guess my opinion of the D3 and its technology is that is a complete paradigm shift in 4wd’s and I don’t understand people buying a D3 and not wanting the features that have made the D3 the most advanced and awarded 4wd running around on the road.

If you are passionate about the coils, the issue of the suspension dropping at 40km’s and can’t resolve the 7 seats issue, then as you gave as your second option you might have to consider going back to some brands that have coils and 7 seats.
Trust me, what could go wrong?

Minor point, but the suspension lowers at 50kph, not 40kph. And, as mentioned, there are dudes both here and the UK working on it.

I don't mind that much about the speed limits (althouh will be looking at getting the fixes Wink) 'cause I;ve known too many dudes who feel the need to barrel down high crown tracks that have left diffs and supension components on lumpy bits they didn't see 'till it was too late to slow down.

Personally, I like to sit back and take in the scenery.

Congrats on the impending bub! Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

Razzle, thanks mate. I thought I was the only one with a truck load of kids, that liked truck loads of lettuce. Sorry for my remark as well. BTW, had it been directed at someone else I would have laughed, but having to make all these decisions, on trading the D3 in, makes me emotional. Rolling with laughter

I haev advertised it privately wth all the bits on. If I do not get my price, I will take the bits off to put on my new D3, with air suspension, with the box of tricks PaulP mentioned. That is exactly what I wanted to hear. Thanks mate.

And to all the other advice, and congrats, thanks guys. Thumbs Up

Hi Steve,

Congrats on the new arrival in April. I have looked at all options, and I am going to do the conversion to a 7 seater. Apart from the seats, the vehicle is exactly what I want. As for the rims, they are still great, and will stay, as Scott on this list has bought my 17's a couple of weeks ago, there is no going back.

As for Gethro, mate those toys are no guaranty for not having kids. We have Wii, PS2, PSP's and more games than what we can play with, and still Razzles' lettuce theory prevails. Thumbs Up

All I can say is be careful. Rolling with laughter

I think you are all missing the point re "suspension dropping" as it only drops back from the raised mode, which the coil D3 doesnt have to start with. A air sprung D3 will at least maintain its full standard height regardless of the what load you put in it, which when touring is normally pretty high. Where as the coil D3 will sit lower the more you load it so is much more likely to drag its Censored .
