Hankook Dynopro ATM or Pirelli ATR?

I am interested in putting on 265 60 18 ATM's on our D3 for Los Angeles or the Pirelli 255 60 18's.
I am liking the ATM's a lot in the 265 60
Who has run the ATMs?

Dave,

Don't know anything about the ATMs, but I've been watching the ATRs at that size, and they're down to $142 each for a set of 4, delivered (to NJ). Also, Pirelli are doing a $70 rebate on a set of 4.

Tempted to buy a set for spares... Shocked

Does the ATR still have a 50k mile conditional guarantee in the US?

They do. But in my view they’re unsafe well before then as you’d be on the indicator bars completely. My tires have about 35k and whilst they’re probably ok for a few more months I’d be happy to forego the warranty for safety.

Because most states in the US don’t have any kind of safety inspection program it’s truly amazing (ie horrific) to see just how low people let tread depth get. It’s not unusual to see bald tires.

I know you live over the 'pond' now, but surely you haven't forgotten how to spell Tyres! Laughing

How embarrassing. I’m hanging my head in shame.

I’d add just as an observation that we really do speak different languages. I’m doing a house renovation here. All of the terminology is different. Plumbing. Heating. Fittings. Materials. All new words.

So one ends up having to speak American just to be understood.

So sad. (As the Orange One would say...).
