Morning all..
Just had my D3 wheel aligned recently.. have uneven wear on the OEM front tyres.... insides are wearing much faster than the rest. Is this a common problem.. I seem to recall reading somewhere about crook suspension bushes or something?
Any comments, questions or experiences?

G'day Mark,
Just had my 20K service and dealer said they were starting to wear on the inside front but it was not bad. They then attended to a wheel alignment. It's never been the same since, now wonders all over the road, I think it's toeing out and doesn't have as much neg camber. TDV6 D3 HSE

I had a problem with my rear tyres... inner walls almost worn down to canvas. Both tyres and suspension arm bushes were replaced under warranty. As you slide down the banister of life

Hi Mark,
I had my front OEM's wear out on the inside very badly. I did approx 45000kms on them.
the rears are still fine ... i've put two new front ones on, and did a full wheel alignment.
seems to be wearing well now ... (I went to Blair's tyres in Peakhurst who know these vehicles pretty well, especially when the owner owns a RRS  ) 2009 Discovery 4 3.0 TDV6 HSE
1985 LR 110 County 3.5 V8

It takes a while for the bushes to settle, LR will pay under warranty when new but they now recommend you get a four wheel alignment done every six months at your cost.
Ask dealer to do under warranty first.

As a follow up...
I should have mentioned that I had a wheel alignment done at 24K service and I think the bloody thing wanders all over the road too! (Now at 26K)
There is no way the front OEMs are going to do more than 30K the way we're going.
I have thought about buying 3 new OEM Wranglers, adding the unused spare to the mix and putting the least worn rear tyre into the spare position.
But then again.. I really want to fit it up with some sort of AT tyre by June. (Going bush!)
The OEM tyres certainly hold on well (drove a D3 in Germany at 170k on the motorway last July) and I think these tyres are soft and made for motorway driving.
Sorry.. I'm wandering. My concern here is that if I fit new AT tyres in the next few months, they too will chew out the inside edges as well.
Does the D3 have to go to a dealer for an alignment?
Can the loacl Good Year shop align them?

Hi Mark,
The vehicle "should" be taken to a dealer so the suspension can be placed into whats called "Tight Tolerance Mode" via IDS/WDS then sent for a 4 wheel alignment. D4 Alaska/Almond 2.7 TDV6 with E-diff & extra's..

I have not had an issue with alignment, but front wear (across the tread) is more than the rears.
I got around this by doing a basic rotation at 24K. At 36k the fronts still have about 10k left and the rears about 5k. by the time the distance is covered, all will have about the same wear, given the fronts wear faster than the rears. That will be an easy 40k from the original tyres.
