Sorry if this has been covered before but I couldn't readily dig anything up on a search.
The D3 is reporting low coolant. Seems to just be low in the reservoir so I want to top it up and see if it loses any more fluid (or not). None of the auto shops appear to sell anything suitable for a D3 - most local stuff is green and I don't want to mix in some no name brand. The manual refers to Castrol SF (I think) but no one I've spoken to has heard of that.
Any clues or do I need to see the dealer?

This was a common fault in the early days, on my first D3 it was a faulty sensor which meant the whole expansion tank needed replacing, best to take it back to the dealers for sorting. 2004 Discovery 3 - gone

I couldn't find any either. Dealer said to top up with water. You need the red stuff. One auto place said they were out of stock and had it on backorder.
I'd forgotten about it now as the level has stayed up since then.

Castrol SF-0 is available in Australia but only in 20l drums (AFAIK), which makes it difficult to sell in the stores...
Item code 119001 - Anti-freeze SF-O coolant 20L (trade price approx $160).
Could possibly arrange something if you wanted to buy a 20l drum ...

Thanks for the comments. Looking at the reservoir there are two chambers and the one on the left appears to have fluid at the top like its bending the laws of physics. Maybe it's just coloured plastic or there are unusual chambers within the chamber. Looks like I'll visit the dealer. And it would interesting to know if there's anything special about that fluid compared to something that's easier to get your hands on.
On a separate note, I had to replace the wiper blades and the advice to buy the cheap Aunger was spot on. Got a pair for $15 and snapped them on in minutes.They "just work" and don't squeak like the $100 genuine ones.

under warranty for the same reason

I had mine replaced too.
Aparently it is a problem with them.

Yup mine too was replace when it kept showing a low level warning light. Ditto the slipping drivers seat was replaced.

The reddish/brown coolant is available from the dealer and is not expensive

Took it to the dealer. They've diagnosed a faulty sensor as others have mentioned and the part is on order.

Just had low coolent warning, tried computor battery reset and no good, expansion tank has ok coolent level. Is it worth giving the sensor terminal wiring joint a riggle and if so where on earth is it, I could not find it.
Problem is I have to tow 16 foot trailer loaded down to Sydney tomorrow and no time to hassel the steeler about it. I suppose it will be safe to drive it that distance 
Just as I have to do something important it chucks a woobley 
Hope Tatra or Mahindra ditch the complex computor stuff and simplifie it.  Wishfull thinking
