Fitting LR 13pin Tow electrics (VPLAT0136)

I have searched, without success, for a fitting guide & wiring diagram to assist me in fitting the LR 13pin Tow electrics (VPLAT0136) to my 2016 Landmark.

I'm sure I've seen them somewhere on the site - hopefully someone can point me in the correct direction.

And ignore the bits about removing the rear bumper and fitting the bracket. You don’t need to do either of these things to fit it. Drop me a pm and I will give you my phone number and can talk you through it.

When I fitted mine - VPLAT0136 - I never bothered removing the rear bumper, and just left the plastic bracket in the box.
Simply did what many on here said to do and just joined the connectors up, and tucked them up out of the way.
Happy days.
Just been down the supermarket and whilst helping wifey do some shopping I had a read of the LRM article, and was interested to see that it stated that the bracket can be fitted with the bumper in situ.
It says that two of the connectors can be attached to the bracket, and the third cable tied on.
Pretty sure I looked at that, and decided it was impossible without removing the bumper.
Always felt a little uncomfortable that I never did the job properly, so might take a look tomorrow, weather allowing, and see if I can actually fit the bracket, or not.
Assuming I can find the box it is in...

Cheers

I removed the bumper because knowing my OCD it would have always bugged me not to have done it properly. Laughing

I followed a helpful video on youtube which walks you though bumper removal fastener by fastener. I did the whole thing solo and removing the rear arches and bumper probably only took 20-25 minutes with me being careful and repeatedly checking back with the video.
Yes, the fasteners under the lower tailgate are a bit awkward, but really didn't hold me up for long at all. All quite achievable on your own with the minimum of swearing. I did still drop the spare wheel obviously in order to get the whole process started.

Once bumper is off you can then effortlessly clip the cable into all of the correct mounting points and bolt the bracket on beneath the rear light. It all feels very secure and gives me a warm feeling to know it is done right and no/less risk of chaff.

Here are a few photos to give an idea.

Not strictly necessary, but you takes your choice. Good luck Thumbs Up
