Dab radio - no reception.
My dab is well and truly stumping me.....
- just get no reception message.
Have tried:
*Re-tuning countless times, changing just about all options and bands.
* Changed the dab unit (drivers side rear)
* Changed the dab/radio amplifier/aerial
Can't see what else it can be......

Has it never worked, or just happened? Reason I ask, when I fitted a dashcam, DAB reception was poor to non-existent. Ferrites (I think thats what they are called) fitted to the dashcam power cables, problem solved.MY2012 D4 HSE Nara Bronze with some extra stuff

Yep, it worked when I got the car (Std on HSE), but stopped working during a journey a few months back. I seem to remember static or a pop and it stopping working, then after a few weeks the dab option disappeared intermittently at first, then permanently.
The option re-appeared after I fitted the new dab tuner, but still won't find a station.....can't work out what else it could be.

Might be a problem with the fakra-cable between the DAB receiver and the antenna amplifier. One possible way to check the antenna circuit would be to plug a simple DAB windscreen antenna to the receiver. If you look at the fakra connector on the receiver, the right one (closer to the outer edge) is for band III. The receiver is a bit pricky - the first antenna I tried when retrofitting DAB didn't work. You will have to take the case of the antenna connector to be able to plug it into the DAB receiver.
Edit: Also check that the new receiver is a DAB+ unit, and not an old DAB one.
From what I have found, the following units are DAB+ capable:
CPLA-14F720-BD
CPLA-14F720-BF
CPLA-14F720-BG
CPLA-14F720-BH
CPLA-14F720-BJ
CPLA-14F720-BK
CPLA-14F720-BL
CPLA-14F720-BM
CPLA-14F720-BNDisco4 V6 SC HSE (MY2014)

Cheers Avalon, i'll give these a go and check if it's dab or Dab+ too. I'm 99% sure i just replaced like for like with the same bits, based on part numbers.

I've had the same problem in my D4 HSE, DAB came and went a few times then disappeared completely a month or so ago. However, the above may as well be in Japanese, how can I find where these things are to check please? Thanks

The numbers listed above can be found on the DAB receiver - here you can see a picture of my retrofit:
The numbers listed above can be found in the upper left quarter of the receiver.
In the second image you should be able to see the connector to the DAB antenna at the bottom right of the DAB receiver - white socket:
