removing the section of bumper covering the towing sockets

From member's experience what is the best tool / object to use to twist the 2 large plastic screws which secure the cover in the rear bumper which gives access to the trailer electric sockets? I don't have a large enough screwdriver to fill the screw head & as such the head is becoming quite damaged.

Whatever you find to do it with, just take it off before you end up with the plate under mud. Taking it off then is a bu**er as I found out at Yarwell when I got stuck (for the 2nd time!!!!)! Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad

I just used the only coin I could find, 20p I think.

IIRC, one of the ancien regime recommended glueing a small piece of plastic in each slot so as to provide a flange to twist 'twixt forefinger and thumb. Saves futzing about looking for the right coin of the realm.

Once my clips expire from plastic fatigue, I plan on swapping in a couple of black Zeus clips or similar. I think LR missed a trick on not having a more elegant design here. Time flies like an arrow; fruit flies like a banana
