Timed Climate screen greyed out Manual Heat/ Manual Vent

My timed climate is activated, and I’ve no faults shown when checked with the GAP tool. I’ve also run the test system procedure, and I could feel and smell the exhaust heat at the front exit point.
My question is why are the Manual and Vent buttons greyed out on my screen when I turn the ignition on and set the timer? The timer did not start the function either.
Any help gratefully received.

Has it previously worked? If not how do you know it is activated? To me it sounds like it is not activated.

How much fuel have you got in the car, from memory below a certain level the FB heater wont run, but I am not sure if that disables the buttons on the screen, may be worth checking if you are low on fuel, next time you fill up

It’s activated, because I changed the CCF

The buttons were not visible on the Home Screen before. The clock and timer change functions OK, but it still has greyed out buttons on the manual area.
I removed the fuse F28 just to be sure I was starting on a blank sheet.

Sounds like you have answered your own question, if you have set the timer the unit (I say unit because the heater will not run if the outside temp is above 6C) will not run until the preset time is reached, or do you mean it is permanently greyed out?- if so and the fuel light is not on it is not activated correctly.

The TIMED CLIMATE is enabled.
The screen shows the timer setting function, and these buttons work where as am able to set a time.
The fan for air circulation does not come on at the preset time after having set it.
The two lower MANUAL buttons are greyed out and do not allow themselves to be pressed for a manual heat/ fan function ( fan only in the current temperatures we’re having...)

Hope that makes sense.... and thanks guys.

As in the thread Narpy pointed you to, Manual only works with Ignition Off/ Radio on. Manual heat won’t work as the ambient temperature is too high, but Manual Vent should if your battery’s got enough charge in it. Thumbs Up

Check your settings again. If you set the timer, the car should either heat or vent. Both will have the fans in use.

How do I get the screen on without turning ignition on tho’.
That’s what I’ve been doing,and presumably that’s wrong?

Thanks so much!

User error.
That works fine. I was turning ignition ON, and the buttons were then inactive. One press of the Radio standby button, and they were live when the Home Screen came on.

I’m really grateful.
