Am I the only one that thinks the front end is more wrong than the back?

Ken - IMO colour coding the “filled nappy” lower section of the rear bumper with the upper section, makes more of a visual improvement than the centre number plate. The two combined is the way to go though.

The 'nappy' is far less prominent if you have the black pack tbh ...not that I even thought it ever looked like a nappy mind you

The vertical "slots" either side of the front bumper/spoiler are a bit weird looking. I just find the front end slightly dull and rather "generic" of any current SUV.
By that I mean, if prior to any D5 images being revealed to the press etc. I'd seen photos of the front end, with no badging and a different grille, I wouldn't have instantly thought Land Rover, it really could be any marque.
I also think the front end styling makes it look smaller than it actually is and the rear end styling makes it look bigger than it actually is!
Of course it's very much a case of "beauty is in the eye of the beholder" etc., but sadly I only received negative comments on its looks from my colleagues today. Ranging from mild dislike, to "WTF is that thing, you haven't bought it have you?" Which actually made me feel rather sad 2006 D3 HSE (Original & still the best)-GONE

It's bizarre ...I am yet to have a single negative comment outside of this site. I think it's perhaps because the B&W combo never fails to impress in the flesh.

Believe me, politeness doesn't come into it where an opportunity for a ribbing is concerned.

It seems that black is flattering for D5s as it is for fat people... Visiting from rrsport.co.uk

I think white enhances the appearance of all the current LR models though personally I wouldn’t have a white one.2014 MY Discovery XS Indus Silver. Sadly gone. Second last LR of forty eight years continuous ownership.
