It's more likely to be the Torque Converter Slipping, have a search on TC slip, lots there.

Sorry for the late reply
No the rev don't fluctuate going up hill
It pulls really good.
I am taking it to a gear box specialist tomorrow for an oil test and take it from there.
Wish my wallet luck
Cheers.

Hi gear box specialist going to try an addativ to see if slight shudder goes or eases off. But I pointed out a different noise and he put this other noise down to the front diff, so more problems.
Is it difficult to take out the diff it would save me about 200 quid any link's for me to follow.
Cheers guys.

Ok will do.
As for the front diff noise it's a groan between 40 and 50 mph
The fitter took it up to about 60mph then took foot of gas and the noise was louder and i could feel it through the front passenger foot well so he said it front diff has had water in it probably because the breather pipe may blocked and trapped water and the water gets in to the bearings.
So i will keep you posted going in on Monday.

I haven't been on for a while, but i pulled up at lights today and my engine just shut down as if i switched it off, or like it stalled, but noticed transmission fault on dash and big F come on aswell, i put in neutral and started car and drove normally, stopped at next lights put box in neutral and it done it again, car run good well as well as disco can ,changes gear good, so has anyone got any ideas.
Cheers
