Sankey camping trailer build MK2
Here's my second trailer build . Had many good years in the first one , but a few things were bugging me . A new awning purchase made it impossible for me to have things the way I wanted . So time for number 2 . Iv kept the same trailer running gear as it tows great and is already extended .
It will basically be the same sort of layout as before , constructed from GRP panels this time . Unfortunately if I want to make the most of the awning the roof tent will have to come off the side . Not a problem for the tent .. But the downstairs awning is then going to block most of one side of the trailer
I have a few plans to hopefully still make the most of it though .
I have to say a big thanks to Chris Tyler for a his help and endless questions . I think my trailer will end up looking like his twin , but I think in some ways he improved on my original design
It's probably not going to be as well documented as the last , but I have 6 weeks to get it to a reasonable State as I'm off camping at Easter

There here .. I got them from a place in Leeds . I had emailed 4 companies .. Only one bothered to reply , so they got my business . Don't know if the price was high or low as there was no comparison

Now that's exciting news, really looking forward to start reading about this new build
Will be picking mine up in a few weeks (Thanks to James), have some simple plans, noting complex, but will post a thread when it's here and I've started it

I want to be able to still when needed use my Sankey as designed, it's been my skip replacement for circa 12 years, so it's a top to mount the RT that also creates a sealed storage are for camping gear Altox GSM FBH controller thread

Old chassis .. Had to relocate the electrics as a water tank is going in the chassis .
While I was doing it , I updated the car and trailer to 13 pin . Need the extra functions for car battery monitoring , reverse signal for brake fluid diverter ( saves getting out to lock the pintle )
Water tank is actually round the wrong way .. But I was only measuring up for brackets
Water tank is 60 litres .. A little less than I wanted .. But I didn't want it any lower

Greg, there's a firm in Newcastle on the Freeport estate called switchblade/service metals
They do all materials for commercial body builders, alloy sections/profiles, wizzadek etc they may do the panels you are after ðŸ‘
