After some heater advice
Hi Ade,
I am after some advice about the arrangement you have for heating the tent and awning area etc...
I have just got myself a propex gas heater and will be mounting it in the gas locker. I was just wondering if you had details of the types of connections you have used to pipe the air up into the tent? Also what additional outlets you might have for the awning? Are these quick release couplings or is the majority of the piping permanent?
Cheers

Thanks Ade,
Makes sense cheers
Only issue for me is the propex I managed to get hold of rather cheap is an older compact version so used 63mm hose not 60mm
I can get 63mm ducting but the accessories (Y pieces etc) are harder to find as the standard now is the 60mm. Do you think it would be worth getting a reducer to 60mm and just standardise it?
Also for the air intake have you just left that sucking from inside the locker? I see for your propex you only drilled two small holes for the exhaust and burner intake and then the 60mm for the hot air out. So the intake just draws from the surroundings and not through the chassis?
Cheers again

A couple of quessies
This is amazing. When I see builds like this I realise that I was at the back of the que when the big fella upstairs was a portioning people's quota of talent. Good job he made me good looking or I'd be really depressed.
Sorry to ask but I have some, what will to most of you be, extremely basic questions.
What mm ali did you use for the edging, panel and door framing on the coach work?
I only recently realised that seals aren’t meant to be load bearing.
When building doors and lids how do you work out their placement from a compression stand point?
What’s the correct procedure & sequence for fitting a frame, edge piece, panel etc.? In other words the piece has to be aligned, holes drilled, sealant applied and rivets popped. Do you apply sealant, line the piece up, fix it in place at either end then drill the holes and fit the remaining rivets in between? Or is every thing predrilled and ready to button up in a oner?
In this photo of your roof it looks as if the rivets are just placed there waiting to be tightened.
Ta muchlyIf we weren't supposed to eat meat why did God make animals taste so good?
