LR3 brake switch adjustment?

Hello,

Replaced the brakes booster today on my LR3 (all's well with the brakes now). But now the brake lights are constantly on.

Is there some way/procedure to adjust the brake lights switch?

Thanks,
Matt

Yes, very easy, take it off and all will be revealed, be careful not to undo the reset when refitting, 5 min job.

Thumbs Up it is a self adjusting ratchet type, by holding the "ratchet" up it can be reset to original position, it will adjust itself when the brake peddle is pressed. The switch does more than operate the lights, it sends various signals to the ECU and is renowned for the cause a mixture of faults, for the sake of a few pounds it could be very beneficial to fit a new one or carry one as a spare along with brake light bulbs (genuine)if going on a long journey.

Below the front right foot mate lots of cables are going backwards from the firewall , wity in these cable is a connection with splicers which is broken or rusted that causes initially intermittent and later on permanent break fault ( 3 amigos hdc , suspension , and special program off faults)

here is a link which is not very clear but enough to work on !!
