Anyone done an air condenser on a V8?
I've heard it easier than the log burner, is it still front off? 05 V8 HSE Bonatti Grey

My Indy put a new condenser on mine, didn't take the front off. Just loosened off the rad I think.

Yep. I followed DM's guidance but found I needed to remove more to provide more space in order to remove / replace the condenser.
Also went genuine. I originally bought an OEM which had a massive twist in it and returned it back to AF.
Happy to say A/C is still lovely!

Castrol 5w30 ultra clean GTX is what I have been using for 8 yeas without any issues. I change it every 7,000 miles or 6 to 7 1/2 months. Which ever comes first.

So on Friday my A/C decided to pack up - it's been a sweaty weekend!
I should have known, it's been chattering away under the bonnet for a few weeks. Suspect new compressor.

Mine is as well. "Whiny" is probably a good description. Its not intrusive but it feels like the V8 is moaning under its 8 cylinders when you put the A/C on.

May sound a dumb question but is there a difference in A/C compressor between diesel and petrol models?
