Have really good search on the forum for engine rebuilds. The general consensus is that you can't get the parts. There are lost of companies saying they can rebuild your engine but the experience is not great and many 'rebuilders' are crooks.
The search function is your friend. New Defender L663 110 SE (known as Noddy!)
Sold Volvo XC90 R-Design (known as Basil)
Sold - D4 HSE (Known as Gerty)
No longer the Old Buses original owner
231,000 miles and counting
05 S manual owned from March 2005
D4 Face lifted
Still original injectors and turbo
V8 Front brakes
BAS Remap, Allisport Intercooler and deCat
EGRs blanked
T-Max split charge
Hanibal Expeedition rack
Prospeed ladder
Duratrac tyres
IID BT
BAS FBH control

Not had personal experience, but a long time on this forum tells me you are better off sourcing a complete second hand engine from a D3 or a Jag.
Some parts available, but not many people have rebuilt. Most go second hand.

I use them all the time, not perfect but pretty much the same as any of the addocks but normally cheaper for the same make items.
I cant comment on their online operation but in person at the counter their knowledge is top notch.

suspected bottom end gone that's what I think but a mate of mine thinks it's the top end , it was smoking knocking and hissing and suddenly stalled but then started then suddenly stopped , but I suppose I'm not going to know till I start stripping the engine 😬
How did your engine rebuild go what was a matter with your engine ? Did it cost a lot to rebuild I'm a bit nervous of what I mite find and worried about costs spiriling out of control very interested in how you got on , eny advice be much appreciated
