It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

On my lie o meter it said 29.8 after 2,500 miles around France back to Burnley with my roof tent on. I did not think that was too bad considering I had a brick onto of a brick The happiest of people don't necessarily have the best of everything;
They just make the best of everything they have.

Yeah, my Lie-O-Meter has gone up to 38.1 now
I work on the basis that if its getting higher I should be getting more MPG, I am realistic enough to know I'm not getting 38.1 mpg but it makes me feel better LOL

I have always wondered with second hand cars, how do you know if it has a map or not, so how do you tell your insurance?
That really is an excellent point
So...
How many drivers are blissfully ignorant that their car has been tweaked?
And how would an insurance investigation show up a remap?
You can't educate pork...

i had a bmw x5 35sd remapped. got 325bhp and 32mpg out of her but then put it into bmw for a service. got a call to say it needed a calliper. i said thats fine its under warranty. 2 hours later i get a call to say i have to pay for the calliper as my key showed the remap which invalidated my warranty.

Don't think a main dealer dealer warranty is a worry on a D3 now...
I have a BAS map, rs500 intercooler on mine.
Has made a huge difference to its drivablity, pick up away from junctions is far better, in gear grunt is improved as well. It's no longer like driving a comfy but underpowered car. Mpg is up a little but with a snorkel, front runner rack, Duratrac tyres. I don't expect much change on that.
My insurance know about it, along with every change I've done. Policy is still under £415 inc business cover.

But how is a future owner to know that in the past there has been a re-map? What is the point in the insurance company even asking the question? How would they ever know there has been a re-map?
Just noticed I'm not the only one to make this point

Hi Discoed. Where and when was that snow. Wow. Looks fun. Same alloys i am thinking of buying. what tyres do you have on those 17" rims?
I've never seen higher than 27Mpg on G4 nd I drive it like Miss Daisy...... better than the wife though, her average was 9mpg.....
Had a EGR Delete and patch, full bigger bore stainless exhaust system, BAS remap, Allisport custom made Fast Road intercooler, silicone hoses and yes she does drive it like she stole it......everywhere.... binary throttle.... on or off no in between
For a 3+ ton truck with all the extras (Winch, Steel Rock sliders, Roofrack and lights, underbody protection front to back, and Duratracs) it goes like a stabbed rat!!G4OC Secretary
