It was the best word I could find before the watershed Laughing

By all means criticise the D5, there are areas that warrant it, I've shared them with my dealer. But some on your hit list is a bit unfair.

I quite like reading the 'banter' to and fro...... its the first bit of the D4 forum I look at (maybe I need to get out more Rolling Eyes )..... I've seen a few on the road and still don't like its appearance - I don't think it will grow on me!

Quite. It's starting to feel like someone bad-mouthing their ex to anyone who'll listen.

Saw a lovely red one today. Pulled up to a junction just as I was passing.

High spec thing, deep shiny red, big wheels, black pack. Admired it in the mirror as I passed. It then pulled out and headed the opposite way, showing its Censored

Didn't look quite so awkward, so that probably means it's growing on me now Laughing

It's all banter, so long as no one takes it too seriously.

I said from the start, you either love it or loath it. It's a marmite car.

I still thing they are really colour / spec dependant!

Some look really awkward and terrible, others not so bad. I think black looks best.

The V8 engine if it makes an appearance in the non SVX would be 8)

France 2011 Discovery 4 3.0 SDV6 HSE Auto Nara BronzeDiscovery 4

Hi J77,

I love orange in cars but this colour will never be orange in any part of the world! Whistle

"Namibia copper" would suit it like a glove as this country exploits this mineral. We have Nara "bronze" don't we...some people definately need glasses at JLR.

Cheers!

Discos 1 to 4 are very distinctive, they stand apart from the crowd in traffic and in car parks. The 5 is far more anonymous, resembling many other modern SUVs.

Woooh ! finally broke my duck. Saw one on A580 near Swinton Golf Course on way home this evening.

I raised the D4 to offroad height so I'd look bigger driving past ... but his lane suddenly sped up and I didn't catch up again.

How does he explain that it’s just as ugly before a number plate is even fitted to it?

Here's one reason why I bought a used D4 Landmark not a new D5 earlier this year:

Pity he sped off, you had the horror of seeing his fat, lop sided ass and he missed your perfectly formed, well balanced rear. Laughing
