I've just had mine done at an auto transmission specialist in Barnsley, Martin Lowe's. They told me they do loads of D3's and RRS's. They also advised me it was not a good idea to do the TC alone (I know some in here have done that and also some have gone down the route I did) they advised the to failure was a symptom of the gearbox needing work (something to do with oil pressures) the advice sounded good and they seemed very knowledgeable so I went with them, overhauled gearbox and tc fitted £2700 inc vat, had the car back 3 weeks in which time we've towed to Dorset, very happy with the work done.
Hi People,
i had the shudder in hi gears (4,5,6) low revs.
With my iid tool i can see that the TC is not closing correcty in 4,5,6 on low revs.
i just had a new engine build in last saturday.
They changed the TC also because it made sense to do it now.
The new TC is also shuddering. It is not the TC.
I believe that on low revs there is not enough pressure to close the TC.
I have read that there is one valve which is for the 4/5/6 Gear that can be bad.
Did anyone repair this valve?
I am experiencing that my D3 is allways having major problems that could be fixed with 10 cent Material.
