Auto slight judder at 30
Should i be worried? Vehicle drives no problem both on and off road but there is a noticable judder just beyond 30mph when changing up. 05 car with 125k, had a gearbox flush at 105k in Dec 2013 (by Geoff). My first auto so am i being paranoid or something to address?
Cheers.

My car had the same mileage on when the dreaded judder appeared. TC on its way out. I ended up changing the full box

another change of oil and some Dr Tranny will probably give it another lease of life. But be prepared to change the TC long term.Bodsys Brake Bible

Hmmm. After reading previous posts on this subject I did fear the TC might be at fault. I suppose the best I can hope for is that it will just be a TC and not a whole gearbox. Anyone had this done and have a clue as to potential cost?

Dr Tranny is on the way .
Only had the car a few days and had this issue and now the remote locking has packed up. Just trying to check for the free/white wire issue explained in other posts.

I had the TC done at Preston Auto at £1200 which seems going rate.
I personally wouldn't waste anymore money on flushes as it only delays the TC change by less than 6 months.

Having same issue with mine, done some research and found a company called metal monster junk at Keighley West Yorks who will fit a recon one for £750 fitted with 2 year warranty. There's good reviews on the web so think I'll give it a go. Standby for updates,

I agree, if you have the judders a flush will only buy time and may make it worse. But a regular flush is good maintenance that LR fail to mention.2005, TDV6 S, Auto, 190k miles, owned from new, V8 Brake Upgrade, Nancom Evo, RLD protector, BAS EGR blanking & Remap, separate ATF cooler, changing all the fluids ahead of time.

Thanks everyone. I was thinking the same about flushing, if it is already on the way out then might as well put that money towards a proper fix. Bummer all the same. Going to try some Dr Tranny to see how that fares but clearly need to plan for a new TC.

I've just had mine done at an auto transmission specialist in Barnsley, Martin Lowe's. They told me they do loads of D3's and RRS's. They also advised me it was not a good idea to do the TC alone (I know some in here have done that and also some have gone down the route I did) they advised the to failure was a symptom of the gearbox needing work (something to do with oil pressures) the advice sounded good and they seemed very knowledgeable so I went with them, overhauled gearbox and tc fitted £2700 inc vat, had the car back 3 weeks in which time we've towed to Dorset, very happy with the work done.D4 graphite, Loire Blue, ebony leather.

Got some Dr Tranny and popped that in tonight. Seems to have helped. Just delaying the inevitable I know but it helps relieve the dispair of having to fork out much dish for a proper fix.
