All cool.
Glad to hear that 50/70k was off road. I must have missed that

I bought my 2005 Disco with 109k on the clock about 3yrs ago and did a couple of double drop oil changes on the auto box after noticing the dreaded judder
The judder returned and I eventually changed the TC including and oil and filter at 152k, Its now on 162k and the transmission is still running smooth with no judder
My Disco is a work bus and also gets a hard life both on and off road as I use it as part of my job but I hope to hit 200k with the original drive line - fingers crossed. I am fitting a new oil pump this weekend as part of preventive maintenance programmeCurrent:

Car dropped off at Martin Lowe's this morning, they appeared to have a good number of different vehicles in the workshop, I did notice another D3 in there as well as a Range Rover sport. They want it a week, I'm hoping that means I'm getting it back Friday afternoon which they said they'd do their best to achieve. The price for the torque converter and transmission £2700 including the VAT, that doesn't include the gearbox ecu but I'm told that should be ok. I'll post further report once I get it back.D4 graphite, Loire Blue, ebony leather.

Collected mine from Martin Lowe's late this afternoon, all looks good, it had even had a wash.
Nice and smooth on the way home, lovely gear changes, I had reset the trip and noticed an improvement in MPG coming home, by the time I arrived hone it was reading and average of 29.4, I don't think I've seen that for ages.
They were telling me when they overhaul the boxes they fit a metal sump as there standard. I asked about ongoing oil changes, there recommendation is to have the oil changed every 40,000 miles or 18 months whichever is sooner.D4 graphite, Loire Blue, ebony leather.
