Thanks for the heads up. I had looked at the forecast but figured we'll probably be ok.
I also have a couple of PMR radios I'll bring.
I found myself in Salisbury yesterday afternoon so visited the first two fords on the list (photos below). The first of them seems very tame, probably only wash the tyres.

Nice to meet you guys, Elliott and I had a great day.
That ford looks like fun, shame I had to get back, the other three were tame in comparison. I might give it a go if I'm passing later in the week.

Looks like a fab day out and great photos
Was everyone sporting all terrain tyres? How did they find them in the mud?

I am running Cooper Zeon LTZ with around 7mm on all of them and had no problems at all.
Can't remember exactly what the other guys were on but none of us struggled.

Were you one of the poor folks stuck in the traffic on the A303? I know that section of road well and was ever so glad to be driving across it rather than along it on Sunday

Duratecs for me. Great compromise between off road and on road performance.
I think a d3/d4 would have been able to do anything we did on pretty much any tyres - apart from maybe one hill.
We refused one water feature principally (and correctly) because we were unable to judge the depth.
The real issue with the plain is to make sure you stay on actual by ways and don't ignore red flags.D3 07 SE - still going strong
