Lr3 starts, then immediately dies
Sitting on the side of the road as I type this - heading from Phoenix AZ to the white mountains, the Lr3 shut off like I switched the key off while going up hill. It starts as normal but shuts off immediately. No check engine light or fault messages.. I've tried;
A hard reset several times
Switching relays in the junction box under the hood
Does the whole vehicle shut down without any lights on the dashboard or centre console?
The fact it's not storing codes or putting warning lights on points to a battery connection loose causing the car to shut down/reset.
Check your battery master fuse and connections as well as the alternator connections.

All lights, radio, HVAC fan etc are working normally, it's like the ignition is just switched off 2 seconds after start up.
I have checked the battery connections & all is good.

I'll connect a fuel pressure gauge today and report.
I was able to borrow my dad's excursion to finish my trip so I just returned home last night.
Wondering if a GAP/IID tool would be a help in diagnosis?

I have found some mention about "reloading" the ecu. This has cured the issue for others. This is something the GAP tool does, right?

Update;
Key on fuel pressure is 65, then drops to 58 in about 20 seconds. 66 psi for the few seconds the engine is running, then after the engine dies it slowly bleeds off as I'd expect is normal.
Some details I forgot to mention in the heat of my first post;
A few weeks ago I started the vehicle and it died much like it's doing now, but with a stumble. I restarted several times until it finally smoothed out and ran normally. I got a Low Power Mode message for the radio once in the following days that never returned.

It seems unlikely it would be the fuel filter, but I'm not going to rule it out. Based on what I've read it seems like a communication issue. It's literally like I'm switching the engine off with the key. Strange.
I only have one key fob, so trying another key isn't an option. I suppose I should get another key at some point though.

Good luck finding the fuel filter - the LR3 doesn't have one. PAGODA

There is in fact a fuel filter from what I've read - it's just part of the fuel pump assembly and apparently designed to last the life of the vehicle.

Built into the fuel pump. Not a servicable item. No standard filter on the LR3.PAGODA
