I just don't understand how some have no problems towing with it and others do.

Is there movement in the deployable tow bar when everything is hitched up that causes instability? That perhaps some cars have and others don't.

The car I had was fitted with the deployable towbar but it seemed to be pretty solid, admittedly a 1500kg caravan @ 60mph would be able to exert a lot more force than my size 9's Laughing

The D5 I have tried towing with was OK but did get a case of the wobbles at times. My own trailer and load on a route I have done many times in the D4 with the same. I consciously had to watch what I was doing unlike the D4 where I forget I'm towing. Coming back was different, same trailer and load BUT 10 x bags of postcrete in the boot (about 200kg?) it was just as good as the D4.

So basically, you put back all the weight that LR 'removed' from the D5 and it now tows just as good as the D4 Shocked I wonder if the 200kg of postcrete will be a factory fit or dealer fit option Thumbs Up
