Air Con Re Gas
Morning
As relatively new to D3 could someone please let me know does the sump guard have to come off to the gas the air con.
I put it in for a re gas yesterday and I have 2 bolts that are well seized and rounded which I know about but have not got round to doing and garage tell me they can't do as need dump guard off.

Never removed the sump guard when our D3 was in getting re-gassed.D3 TDV6 S MY2005

i always thought the high and low connectors were as u look at the engine on the right hand , under the heat shield
haven't heard about having to remove a sump guard , unless he means heat shield
got to also find out myself and do mine , been thinking of either putting it into a garage or buying an aircon kit
hopefully someone with the expertise will be along to tell u where the connectors are and what needs to come off

The two valves are under the bonnet on the passenger side (LHS sitting in the car, RHS looking under the bonnet) at the top between the battery box and the engine

just went out and took a couple of pics of the high and low connectors , hope its of some help to others looking for them
may i ask, on the label with 4 x arrows is that for rear aircon plse
i haven't got rear aircon so i assume the capacity then is 550g
also see the diy kits are around £40

550 grams plus or minus 25 grams is fine Discovery 3 se gone

I had 2 faults showing on my IID and both related to the Air Con.
Took a punt and booked it into Kwik Fit 2 weeks ago as they are still doing the £49 service and if they can't reduce the inside temp due to leaks you don't pay.
Took 45 mins and I have to say it has made a fantastic difference.
Didn't get the expected you need this and that from them, just a good service.
Both faults now gone.

did plug the iid in to see why it wasn't working , came up with error code of being low , then checked psi in system, came back 0psi , oops
going to book it in next week via group on
result , full regas and bacteria treatment for £32.95
happy days
