Well having got a D5 and driven about 3.5K now 500 miles over the weekend in which I saw a lot of other D5's on the road I must say that I love the car. It drives nice, it is comfortable, have had no complaints about comfort from rear seats from 6 foot daughter in fact she preferred it to D4 as she could adjust the seat more, cool the seat as well as heat it and have unique control of the HV for her whilst in the back.
As for the boot, had no issues loading it with loads of gear for a wedding including clothes, presents, bouquets etc
Yes the boot/rear end is not great looking but as you get used to it it is not such an issue. MY17 D5 1st Edition Namib Orange

Hey guys,
DG only wanted to share the official poor sale figures of the D5. It's a fact. He never judged if it was a good or a bad car. Suddenly D5 owners come in here to defend themselves as if they were being targeted!
No doubt the D5 is a great car...but many feel it could be much better!

No, not defending the car, just pointing out that there was no evidence of the sales being good or bad.
The table is not saying anything other than fewer D5's were sold this year compared to the D4's last year.
Others have given the reasons why that may be the case.
Remember the unwritten rules for D5 posting.
1) If is about real experience of the D5 then post on the D5 forum.
2) Feed back on problems with the D5 then post on the D5 forum.
3) Any negative feedback then post on this forum.

I have no idea where you are getting your numbers from? There are only 2 D5 figures there; May and YTD?

And also its practicality...
If i'd wanted a X5, Q7 or GL then I would have bought one. LR has pushed the D5 into a crowded market with limited differentiation. Lets hope the Defender redeems them. D4 HSE EU6 (Known as Jeeves)
