Possibly sounds like a daft question....
Is there an easy way to tell if the FBH remote receiver is actually fitted?
I have recently bought D4 HSE MY2010, which in the options list against the VIN (provided by the LR dealer) states "Park Heating with remote control".
Everything else "fixed" on the list came with the car, however, the previous owner(s) seem to be the interesting types that have retained everything that is not nailed down (floor mats (it's clearly had them), parcel shelf, warning triangle, key for the fixed towbar, handbooks... (tools there though!)) and it looks like the FBH remote may be one of the AWOL items on the list too, if it was fitted..
I've looked behind and peered up inside the boot trim on the right hand side, but can't see the receiver - but suspect it could be very well hidden looking at the install instructions.
I can't see the aerial behind the C post trim mounted on the glass - but that doesn't necessarily surprise me, as when the 12N/12S harness was fitted, the connector bracket had not been fitted behind the bumper under the light cluster either. Least possible effort methinks...
Timed heating etc is enabled in the menus and the FBH can be started from it...
