Have my EGR's been blanked?

Hey all

D3 owner for the lengthy time of 2 weeks so far and loving it, digging through the receipts that came with the car I found one for egr blanking. However when I remove the engine cover all the bits that would normally be removed with the blanking procedure still appear to be there and it's hard to see at the actual point where the blanking plate should be if there is one.

I understand from long time lurking on this forum that some people have said it can be blanked without making it look like it has been but how would I know definitively? Does anyone have any pictures of one that has been blanked whilst still leaving all the original egr bits attached?

I can upload some pictures after work of close ups of what's there if that helps as I'm fitting my BAS inter-cooler pipe tonight.

Look at the pipes that connect to the egr itself, there should be a small plate of 2 to 3mm in between the pipe and valve. Whoever has done the blanking has done it the correct way ( if blanked) by leaving all the pipes on, as it looks like its not been touched.

Flack Thumbs Up

Hope the throttle butterfly has been removed too. Worth checking when you want to get your hands dirty
