At 47k mikes....with no transmission faults
You are in the perfect place to flush out & change the transmission fluid + DrTranny.
I envy you with so few miles !
If you don't do this you are taking a risk & stacking up a costly to fix issue that will bite you in the ar$e....eventually.BREXIT - done properly.

No need for pressure pumps with rubber seals that dissolve in oil, simply suspend an oil container above the engine the higher the better and let gravity do it, I've used this method successfully twice, it just takes a little longer It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

Why add Dr Tranny if it's working well with no faults etc? Surely just adding the correct spec of oil is the way to go here?

yeap. No point if putting Dr.T in a 47K gearbox.
In fact you would probably want to put genuine ZF lifeguard oil in.
You should get your moneys worth out of it.
Why ? As a preventative measure.
If it does what It's said to do - may be worth it.
But that's me....prevention is usually better & lower cost than eventual cure.
Anything that's prevents the issues many have seen & are seeing with D3/4 auto transmissions
- mine went tits up at 92kBREXIT - done properly.
