D4 momentary power loss
D4, MY12, 75,000.
Every so often (once every couple of hundred miles) the engine dies for about 0.5 second. This causes a big bang in the transmission, especially if under power.
No warning lights, no stored DTCs. Nothing.
One time it died completely, leaving me at the side of the road. I wiggled the electrical connector on the MAF, and it started. Out of curiosity, with the engine running, I wiggled the rear connector and it stopped. Thought I was on to something.... Wiggled it again and it then started.
Since then, no amount of wiggling that connector can reproduce the fault. And it still does the cutting out, randomly. Still no DTCs.
Any clues or previous experience? Frustrating, as it's hard to diagnose when everything is working fine. Fault is not related to speed, load, weather, regen or anything else I can think of.

Sadly the last service was by a (very good) independent. Wife is just about to buy a DS, but is now thinking twice (especially after a bit of a bill for new wishbones last month).
LRCS will have to be uncharacteristically generous to restore confidence in this brand.

As a follow up, the car spent more than 5 weeks at the dealer (with no courtesy car, which was inconvenient). Two weeks to diagnose, 1 week to discuss with LRCS, 2 weeks to wait for a workshop slot. Even though this was the same fault as the recall, we just miss out on the narrow VIN range, and therefore we have to pay. LR would not agree that it should be part of the recall, even though it actually suffered from the fault.
Cost was quoted at £1700, in the end it was £1500 with LR offering a contribution of 60%.
Got the car back with a nasty crunch on the front bumper, so further time lost as the dealer had to get it repaired. Dealer apologised and didn't question that they were at fault.
Got the car back a second time, all working and repaired, cleaned it, shoved it on Autotrader and had it sold for a good price within 48 hours. Wife elected to not go for a LR product for the replacement.
