Brake sensors

In my service history I have found every time the pads have been replaced, the dealer has replaced the sensors.
SEM000024
SOE000025

Is this adviseable? Do they cause problems frequently?

Should not need to replaced, but they can break very easily. So maybe he has to fit each time if he is heavy handed with the pliers.

If the pads are left to wear down the disc rubs through the sensor and turns the dash light on. (it's designed to do this). Therefore needs replacing.

If you replace the pads a little early the sensor doesn't need replacing.
