FBH won't run from Webasto software
Further to my previous posts, I bought the diagnostic loom from the shop here and happy news after clearing lock out faults the FBH runs again off both timed climate and auto running. I can also individually test the components from webasto software but for some reason cannot run FBH from same software using two available options of either supplementary or park heating. When selecting those options FBH status stays as off and occasional error of NAK: access denied. Any ideas?

Sounds like a D4-related problem, everyone reporting this has a D4.
Does anyone have the link to the V3 software, I've only got V2 listed in the wiki.06 D3 SE / 15 LR D90 XS SW / 88 LR 90 Td5 / 68 BMW 2000 ti

Wouldnt work with my 2013 D4 using WTT version 2.14.
Same symptoms, Can run fuel pump, fan etc but not start the heater.
However does work with Ver 3.0 WTT.
You need to select W-Bus model and NOT the "VEVO" model heater. This then starts WTT 2.16 version.
When you start the heater using the software the cabin fan kicks in for a while then the FBH kicks in some time later. Be patient!
*** Martin *** Did you get my email about my FBH controllers i make?
Also the link to WTT download in the WIKI doesn't work anyway!
Regards.
Simon.

Hi Simon,
I will reply to your email ASAP, just been short of time this week.
The WTT 2.14 download link in the wiki was fixed earlier this afternoon, I wasn't aware that where I had put the file no longer worked.
Also have 3.0 (thanks Simon) and 3.4 (thanks Surfup03) to upload (both very large files) and link to the wiki.
I have managed to extract 2.16 from the 3.4 installation on its own and will be updating the wiki with a link tonight.06 D3 SE / 15 LR D90 XS SW / 88 LR 90 Td5 / 68 BMW 2000 ti

I assume you are picking WBUS less than 3.5 on the left not WBUS greater than 4.0 on right hand side?06 D3 SE / 15 LR D90 XS SW / 88 LR 90 Td5 / 68 BMW 2000 ti

Hi guys pulling my hair out at this point lol.
How can cabin fans come on? I take it your not using the OBD adapter into the heater and not only using the car loom for fuel pump??
I'm having issues with the same. Ive used diffrent versions of WTT with no joy im now on 2.16 selecting W-BUS model But no cabin fan and even if I wait no heater ππ
I'm also getting an EOL Checksum error 81h. This is only when I pull fuse and energise again after clearing it's gone untill I pull fuse, I'm wondering if this the module being faulty. Is there any other way of turning this heater on apart from making the outside temp senser cold.
Thanks for your help in advance.
Luke

Well, Eating a bit of humble pie here gentlemen!
I've put my D4 FBH on the diagnostic cable a couple of times and its fired up first time each.
So thought i'd try again last night...
The first time i used WTT V3 which loaded into 2.16. Bang...fires straight up.
So shut it down, and booted into the older 2.14 version. Bang... Fires up again. Weird i thought as it refused to run before with version 2.14.
So i switched back to V3.0 (2.16) and...nothing. Only the interior fan kicks in.
So back to 2.14. Same happens.
Reboot PC and hard reset FBH (pulled fuse), Checked for heater faults using WTT and my IID tool. None.
Then things got worse...Not even the interior fan would kick in.
Played with the port settings for my USB Serial diagnostic lead and set them the same as W-Bus Comms use. This made the interior fan run again, but the FBH would still not kick in.
Everything else works on WTT, just now refuses to start.
Tried the diagnostic lead on the D3 FBH, No problems.
Tried a different Diagnostic lead with an FTI chipset... Same.
Scratching head!
Next step is to snoop on the W-Bus commands going back and forth.

So full of optimising from the resurrection of this thread that I started, I downloaded v3 today, configured it for W-Bus and booted it up with 2.16.1. Unfortunately same result as 2.14 - diagnosis starts, comms and status all ok, can test individual components but can't start heater. I'm optimistic now that others have confirmed the problem that someone with the right technical knowledge will take up the challenge of solving this! Winter is coming and I want to get to the bottom of the run problems with my FBH!
