Hello
Ok, so i'll try to explain what i do :
-first , the FBH loom doesn't work for me (D4 2012)
-I cut the wbus and try to connect it directly to the FBH loom (on the car), just a try , so..)

And yep , i can start again the webasto..

Don't know why...

Same scenario, tried again today I don't even get interior fans, on a plus note my individual components work ok 😂😂 Rolling with laughter .

I was under the impression the w bus red lead was terminated in the boot for the Land Rover climate control key fob module of you have?

Not unless the length of cable resistance changes the w bus command? Please someone with the know how work this out. Would an altox controller put out the same command as the test software?

The length of the WBUS line shouldn't be the factor, as the component run commands are getting through OK.

I wonder if the FBH controller checks over the CAN bus for something before allowing the heater to run. The fact the fans run up first and then the FBH fires suggests this might be happening.

In which case, marco's mod works as it is keeping the CAN connections in place.

Those guys with the loom from the site shop and a non-responding D4 FBH please drop me a PM or email if I don't get in touch with you today (I may have missed some posts on this) and I will send you some CAN wires to fit and test.

With my diagnostic lead the High and Low CAN wires are still in place as i just remove the red pin from the plug and insert the one from my diagnostic lead.
I think the FBH sends the command to start the interior fan over CAN when it gets a run command over the diagnostic pin2.

The fact mine will "sometimes" run makes me think its an issue with the comms side of things.
I understand most Chinese cables cant process the 'Break' command properly which is required on the Evo heaters but not on the V models used on the D3.

I have ordered an "proper" USB K-line cable using a genuine FTI processor which can handle the 'Break' command.

Will keep you all posted. Thumbs Up

Can Someone with access to the D4 wiring diagrams please confirm the Red wire on PIN2 only runs to the back of the car for the Telestart unit socket and no where else?

Ta.

Hi all.

I'm slightly concerned as I'm the one saying this! I still haven't had any luck even with my new canbus cables that were kindly sent out to me.

I do now get activation of interior fans which run at higher speed for about 30 seconds then slow down? But no matter how patient I am there is no heater fire up and no fault codes shown.

I've checked with iidtool before and after testing with webasto software and there is no fault codes

Am I right to be doing this with ignition off key in pocket I must be missing something.

Any advice welcome honestly lool Crying or Very sad

OK ive figured this out and got the heater running by directly injecting code.
It also starts the cabin fan and warms the inside too Smile
Forget about using the WTT software as its sending the wrong command to start the heater!

mine now works fine with 2.16 and the new wires, though only for full heating, supplemental still throws an error.
