| Plastic dip your alloy wheels/bumper or any other car part |

Anyone tried these products before and if so what do you think? My alloys haven't got that bad yet but I'd like to try this on my black plastic parts of my car instead of having to use peanut butter/oils to bring it back to life. Could do inside of the car on parts if you really wanted to.

Did my wheels. Pics in my gallery. Very happy.
There are some good vids on youtube. It's an art not a science. I wasn't close enough when spraying and so have a more textured finish, but it's on the wheels so hard to see. If I was doing again I'd spray closer.
Lasted 6 months, snow, salt and all the other crap that the Americans put on their roads without a problem. PAGODA

I used it on an old set of 19" alloys with good results  21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

That's good to hear.
I would personally go with the brand they are using in the videos as it seems tried and tested.
I will start with my trim. Not sure if I should just do it black as they are or maybe even Buckingham blue to match my car if that colour is available. Discovery 3 HSE 2007

Front scuttle under windscreen would be a good candidate for Plasti Dip. Wonder if anyone else has done it?

Well I just bought a can of black for £11.98 of fleabay.
Will try my scuttle panel and some of the black trim first to see how things go. Will keep you posted. Discovery 3 HSE 2007

From the research I have been doing you need around 4 cans of 400ml to do 4 wheels. Discovery 3 HSE 2007

I fancy spraying the front towing eye cover silver like the 4.5.
Any thoughts on whether it would stick to that type of plastic and whether it would stand up to any chips etc?

I came across this stuff when I was doing grill mods as a customers grill was sprayed with this stuff.
I honestly can't see how this has a place in a vehicle application. The finish was terrible and it all peeled off like peeling skin. Maybe what I witnessed hadn't been applied correctly, I don't know, but from that experience it lead me to think it was not the all singing and dancing paint solution it appears in the hype, in fact, it was actually quite crap.
