New key/IID BT question.
How easy is it to programme a new key from LR with my IID BT widget? Pls remember that I'm the resident Diagnostic Dummy. Thinking of getting a genuine key as the one that has holes in it will become a spare spare, having 3 for the car.
Thoughts oh wise ones out there?

£145 + VAT less discount. Plus 30 mins programming which I should be able to do. Not the cheapest way of doing it, just looking into it atm.

Will pluck up the courage. Pat is always on speed-dial (well email) just in case I screw it up.

I bought a used wiped one from a guy on eBay for £40. Existing LR circuit board in new LR key fob. Programmed first time.

Agreed that's a much cheaper way of doing it but the advantage this way is I have a 3rd key, just in case.

But you are a good few techie layers higher than me.
Important thing has been achieved, SWMBO has said "go on then", but with a look.

Use the Add a Key function, you can't screw up, you should know this by now with all your experience http://www.gap-diagnostic.com/

I have faith in the magic box.
Once I have the key in my trembling hands I'll let you know how it goes.

Can a Key which has been previously programmed to another car be used?
