Though not ideal situation with engine, that's a pretty good turn round, don't think you ask for more in terms of rectification.

That is certainly a fast turn around.
In these circumstances do they use a brand new off the shelf engine that would normally be shipped to the production line but instead are diverted to a main dealer?Discovery 4 HSE

Got my car back today with a new engine and new gear selector ( separate illumination issue .. nout to do with engine failure )
So iv been told is a full engine ( not a short block ) , but they do transfer stuff over once it's been checked .
I can see the new bottom half , but can't see much else ( not much room in there )
I have been given a new engine number for the V5
Everything is back working , the only thing they did not refit was the non standard sump guard and didn't reconnect the traxide dual battery leads .
All my other goodies .. winch / strobes etc still all operational
So iv loaded it back up with my tools .. and off to Gloucester tomorrow, so it will get a good test
I must say I can't fault LR assist and my dealer so far .
1 AA van , 3 relay trucks , pre paid taxi to dealers , new sport to smoke around in , car back withing 9 days , all clean and valeted and kept informed by dealers all the way
And just in case your interested .. there bill to LR was £10,280 and another £400 for gear selector
