Yep I did it a few weeks ago to clear all the issues I had when I made the CCF changes beforehand Rolling Eyes . Loads of VIN errors and I had to restore day one CCF settings if you recall.

Made up a temp loom to get the radar ECU data to send to GAP and verify my ECU worked so the radar has already been flashed once (didn't have the factory fit cable in my 2014 you see).

So all I am doing now is running it on the installed wiring rather than the test loom. Maybe I will attempt to flash it again as my issue sounds exactly like the one you describe having;

"I had the issue with the calibration completing ok but the calibration procedure not running during a drive. This was cured withe the firmware reflash from Gap."

Assuming you mean the same FW file you originally got not a new one from GAP?
Thanks

It was the file I got from Gap which once flashed sorted all my issues.I was then able to run the calibration routine which then gave me the flashing symbol on the dash. Before the reflash the calibration routine ran for just a few seconds then a routine completed successfully message appeared but that was all.The yellow flashing acc symbol is needed to show that the system is ready for the calibration process which you then complete by driving for between 5-30 miles or so.
It does not need to be completed all at once as the calibration will restart the next time you drive again. You do not need to touch any of the cruise switches during the calibration process. Once the yellow light stops flashing ,switch the car off and let it go to sleep for 30mins or so.The system should be working after that.!

So I checked the ACC settings again and they were as above. I then re-flashed the ACC ECU and that went fine again. I then ran the calibrate and the same thing, no ACC light on the dash after starting the car (do I have to be moving for it to come on - like faster than 20 mph?).

I get the following error still/now that probably shows my car's creation date as the error trigger.

Because I have the same ACC FW as you two, my thought is that this might be like the 3 flash CCF enable on older cars that needs a BCM flash to make it work. Both of yours are GH22 and mine is an EH22. My latest "update available" is FH so might not be able to go to a GH but given a 2015+ had ACC that night be fine and that matches the ACC FW prefix too.
I think I have done all I can so need to wait for GAP to open in the New Year Sad

The flashing calibration light should come on as soon as the calibration routine has been run. There is no need to drive in order to get the light on.

I wish I had something useful to add to this. Mine really was a case of setting the CCF as shown on the German website. If there is any screens shots I can send that will help let me know? My calibration light started flashing as soon I started the process and before I started driving.

Thanks guys. I have done the same as both of you in the CCF (both the "stop and go" and "speed control" variants) and the result after calibrate is the same - i.e. not working.
Electrically I am the same and we are all running the same radar FW. I think it is unlikely to be the radar HW difference at the moment.

From the logical diagram in the service manual the only additional thing on the HS CAN is the radar. One of the highlighted components (or all) needs some FW tweaking. Not sure how happy I would be with doing all of them and bricking my car but I am pretty sure the BCM is the brains of the operation.

(we/I) Would love to hear from someone who has done this on a 2012-2014 and thoughts as it is now sounding like a more complex (read "expensive") retrofit.

(how do I make the images bigger?)

How exactly?
I tried:

[img:x:y]https://www.disco3.co.uk/gallery/albums/userpics/60508/normal_ACC_logical.jpg[/img]
and

and

But no difference.

Could you give me an example?
Thanks

How are you getting on? I hope it’s starting to work out after the effort you have put in so far.

Hello - thanks for asking Smile
I stopped due to being too cold and having to go back to work Sad
Pat is back at work tomorrow Thursday so I will see if he has anything to suggest on Friday. From the error I have it looks like the CCF is not right so maybe something unique for pre 2015 cars or simply (!) that the BCM needs flashing.

On your car you are GH on your BCM so that would be a 2016 v my EH 2104 so maybe doable.
Other option is to get a 2015+ BCM and code it to my car so I can go back to mine if it fails still or have a backup plan in case I shaft it.

Not sure on how the BCM replacement would go or whether you can replace components with later but to me if my BCM caught fire the insurance company would purchase a new one from LR which would be a 2015/6 one with the later FW for sure. Same I guess for the screen and IAM, a 2016 can be fitted to a 2014 to get the different layout and maps you have.

I am forever hopeful!
