Well I sat on the hard shoulder with mine..
Called in at JE for their tune to be put on (0-60 of 11.8 before, 9.8 afterwards...), mpg had been a bit poor today but on M69 had to pull over with a smoking offside rear brake! Guess that explains the poor mpg....only had the 54 plater 4 days so not a great start but probably due to it sitting at the dealers for a few weeks between owners - otherwise VERY pleased with it.
Previous D2 from new with me did 192k miles in 6.5yrs but only had me at the roadside once in that time due to a bust 5 quid hose...
Called LR assist and they despatched recovery, recovery arrived after about 45mins by which time I have to say I was bloody cold. Loaded the D3 onto the specs and dolley but then the trainee broke the dolley they were going to use for the rear wheels..... currently awaiting the verdict on whether a second truck needs to be despatched... stil now sat in nice warm recovery truck cab so not all bad news eh?Cheers

spent 30 mins fumbling around in the dark trying to release the EPB
just 300 metres from home too .... grrrrrrrrrrrr
Huh? Low range first, low range reverse, low range first, low range reverse... repeat until released. Quicker than effing around with the jack handle I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

ND ... I did not know of that method - all I had was the D3 Owners manual to refer to

trip to Surrey....saw a line up of 7 shiny RRS's and FFRR's + one J**p Commander in the middle, all driven by blonde females, turning into the school. Two or three cars back an ML and XC90....
who says you can stereotype??end of an era ....... maybe a Defender when it appears.......

Assessed the damage sustained at Tong:-
Bent tubes, dented tubes, dented sills, dented compresser thingy, cracked mudflaps, light body scratches.
Cleaned all the sh*t out of it : -
interior, underbody, engine, wheel arches, chassis.
Took off my 17's/Stt's and put back on my Stromers/Grabbers.
Washed and chamoised.
Looks the biz again
going to local garage tomorrow to have tubes straightened....... always on the road less travelled 🚧

Missing my d3. Have to drive a Ford Fiesta courtesy car home yesterday. It's at MJ Fews for the 2nd service. Brake pad needs changing, steering rack to be replaced under warranty, hopefully the EPB will be cleaned and adjusted. Apart from the courtesy car ... MJ Fews is still £90 cheaper than what Lancaster Reading quoted me (and didn't want to price match).TDV6 SE
