Got up this morning after traveling down to Hembsby last night with a squealing offside front calliper. Call it intuition but I put a small socket set in the back. Pulled the wheel off this morning to find the inner pad was stuck fast, managed to knock it out and clean it up. Cleaned up the spring clips ect to find it was still tight. Ah, the leathermans got a file on it. Filed the end lugs a few tho. Perfect fit. At least I can now take my earplugs out for the rest of the holiday.

Went shopping in York. Perhaps not the most sensible option for a bank holiday but needs must.
I wish I hadn't bothered. We got stuck in a jam on the way there, and some decided to give my driver's door a good keying in Waitrose of all places.
Sadly they've no CCTV so there's no chance of catching the culprit.

Fitted a full set of newish wheel nuts from a rrs 2015.
Mine where swollen and some of the stainless caps had fell off.
Saves me carrying a 21,22 and 23mm socket and they look so much better too.
Only cost me £30 off Gumtree
Need to get my callipers painted next.05 D3 SE

That was a great bargain
I've just replaced a couple of mine, but I've had to put a plain wheel nut in place of one of the lock nuts as it's got a split accross it .ill keep watching for that bargain

Did the Sat Nav On The Move last night.
Fired up another car, connected jump leads, and spent at least an hour sitting playing Sudoku while it did its thing!
Successful though, then thought about updating Bluetooth but it said 41 mins, so will leave that another time.

Fitted my parrot mki 9200 hands free kit today using the kram autolead.
Install went very well despite a bit of head scratching.....
Hardest most frustrating part was locating parrot control box and tidying cables so it all fitted back in the dash.... Otherwise pretty trouble free...
I'm now a happy bunny cos I have my music and telephone function again...
Sp Mods so far:
New wheel winch
Instrument upgrade (clock on dash)
D4 fascia + Garmin nuvi
LED side light, interior etc
New FL2 rear wheel arch seals

Bas****! It makes me so angry to hear this.... It's bad enough when people who don't give a sh.** open doors on car parks... But this is unnacceptable.
But what is the answer... I'd love to electrify my car and fry em

Leicester and back left 06:00 home by 19:00, had a great run on the A4212 from Bala to Traws road following a series 5, we both ended up stopping a the same takeaway outlet and he turned round and said you did well keeping up with me in that old bus. Only once answer to that, keep up? I was looking for somewhere to pass you, you were holding me up! ==================================
