Took my almost 9yr old D3 for a rushed mot
Rushed as in I only found out last night it was due by Saturday
Passed with flying colours, not even an advisorie
Only comment was on the DRL/fogs not being able to turn off, as in on all the time even with main beam,
Just the way they're wired up
Thanks to local garage for last minute mot
To Disco Mikey for the maintenance
And myself for paying for all the above D3 57 xs Stornaway grey
D2 02 commercial silver gone but a great servant and won't be forgotten

Front wheel bearing changed
O/S/F (right) wheel bearing was showing signs of play with only 77k on the clock
Symtoms were: slight rumbling from from end, stability control system kicking in on moderate left hand bends and slight clonk on shaking the wheel (when stationary)
Easy job to do - my tips are as follows 8)
Undo the drive shaft nut on the ground!
Make sure you remove yer ASB sensor - it's easily damaged
Leave the 4 bolts loosely screwed in the back of the hub carrier and use 'em to tap the bearing assembly free that last little bit
Use a hub puller to free off the drive shaft and not force it all the way putting pressure on yer CVs
Be prepared for the brake pipe bracket bolt to shear off. Easy to drill out and replace.
Nice and quiet now with no dash lights coming on on corners Cheers, Dave in Essex

My good lady wife went marshalling on the Bath Festival Rally last night the stage that we were given to do the time control on was in a forest near Mere the Rally organiser gave us our map reference and said just one small problem to my wife the time control in in a forest she smiled sweetly and said we had a Disco he replied you will be fine .The Disco was just the tool for the task in hand and when it was time to go home we had two option to go home 1) tarmac road 2) drive the 3 mile special stage through the forest well it took quite a long time to decide well all of about 2 seconds that in fact the forest was the best option large smiles all round Land Rover 90 - deceased

Added a few cosmetic items...
Fitted some black interior badges to the door cards...
And fitted some front lights guards, complete with tape on the top of the lights which IMO seems to make them look a bit more neater.

Yesterday left the office at 4pm and drove 500 miles to home in the Highlands... had planned to stay overnight with my brother in Carlisle but decided to press on instead...got in at 1am and wasn't tired at all.
Reminded me just how comfortable and capable the disco is and I was certainly in the right car to deal with the weather
